This photo is from 1920 – these children would have seen the original school building being built! We have currently at Vogeltown a forth generation student whose great- grandparent is in this photo! That’s what makes our school so wonderful – seeing parents bringing their own children here.
Our centenary is coming up on Labour Weekend this year so if you attended Vogeltown School you are welcome to join us for the celebrations. Click here to see the latest information or to contact the centenary committee.
School starts on Tuesday 4 February at 9 am. Just a few things to help get school off to a great start:
Please have all stationery named and ready to go. Lists are available under FAQ.
Togs and towel are a ‘must’ every day (we take our water skills and swimming season very seriously!)
A wide-brimmed or bucket style hat is essential during terms 1 & 4. Vogeltown hats are available at the school office for $12.00 each
Whanau t-shirts are available at the school office in a range of kids sizes for $20.00
Make sure lunchboxes are packed, and drink bottles are filled (it gets hot in those classrooms!)
Please make sure all personal items are clearly named, especially hats, towels, drink bottles etc
We are looking forward to seeing everyone, rearing to go for the new year!
